Frequently Asked Questions
Are sessions confidential?

Information discussed within therapy is confidential and will not routinely be passed onto others. However, if Eleanor becomes concerned about the safety of you or others then she has a duty of care, as outlined by her regulatory body, HCPC, to take steps to try and minimise the harm experienced. To maintain the safety of you or others Eleanor may need to break confidentiality and seek support from other individuals, but she will always endeavour to do this with your full involvement.

How much will it cost?

Initial appointments are £150 for a 90-minute session.

Subsequent appointments are £100 for 50- minute sessions.

Any extra communication that is required such as reports or discussing your care with other professionals is charged at £100 per hour.

Group sessions or training and corporate packages are priced on a case by case basis.

How many sessions will I need?

Research suggests that most depression and anxiety problems can be treated within 12 to 16 sessions, but it does depend on how long the problem has been experienced and the other demands and life events that you may be managing at the same time.

Problems that started recently are usually treated quite quickly whilst recurrent problems or those that have been experienced for some time may require longer treatment or breaking down into manageable chunks that can be worked on separately.

The number of sessions within your treatment plan will be discussed as part of the assessment session and during the early stages of therapy. Therapy progress is also reviewed regularly and the number of session required can be discussed as often as needed.

How can I get an appointment?

The best way to request an appointment is by emailing Eleanor. You can then set up a time to briefly discuss what support you need and then book in an appointment.

Eleanor's working days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
